About this role
Role Overview
Design and maintain high-performance analytical models in the Data Warehouse (BigQuery), applying dimensional modeling techniques (Star Schema / Kimball).
Take a leading role in the critical transition between the Silver layer (integrated data) and the Gold layer (business-ready data products).
Develop and evolve transformation pipelines using dbt (data build tool), ensuring modular, versioned, and reusable code.
Implement Data Contracts and automated tests to ensure dashboards do not break due to unexpected source changes.
Monitor data health (Freshness, Volume, Schema) and proactively address anomalies.
Support the AI team by providing clean, reliable datasets for model training and experiments.
Document models and metrics to empower business users, ensuring a single source of truth.
Requirements
Solid experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or Business Intelligence professional.
Advanced SQL proficiency – ability to write complex, high-performance queries.
Experience with dbt – familiarity with macros, incremental models, and technical documentation.
Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses – experience with BigQuery (preferred) or AWS solutions.
Experience with Data Architecture – knowledge of dimensional modeling and the Medallion architecture.
Experience with BI tools – familiarity with Looker and Power BI.
Experience with version control – strong knowledge of Git and Pull Request / CI-CD processes.
