Lead and manage business development efforts for NASA and other civil and defense space/adjacent government agency opportunities, from opportunity identification through win strategy and capture execution
Through relationships, build critical partnering arrangements to deliver the best win team
Build and implement robust growth strategies and influence solution development, positioning, pricing, and proposal development
Develop and nurture strong executive-level relationships with customers and stakeholders across NASA and adjacent government space markets, and collaborate with commercial space growth manager as part of integrated pursuit and solution strategies
Partner internally with technical, program, finance, contracts, and senior leadership teams to align offerings with customer mission needs and win themes
Coordinate and lead capture teams, ensuring alignment of win strategies, competitive intelligence, risk mitigation, and pricing strategy
Support industry engagement, teaming, and coalition building with strategic partners, including primes, subcontractors, and commercial space entities, in support of government customer pursuits
Represent the company in customer presentations and strategic discussions, elevating company capabilities and credibility with government customers and industry partners
Drive BD planning, pipeline forecasting, opportunity qualification, and business planning processes for NASA and adjacent government markets
Prepare, facilitate and deliver communications across the company to facilitate and promote collaboration
Capture and share lessons learned, execute after-action reviews, and refine BD best practices
Requirements
15+ years of relevant experience in business development, capture, or strategic pursuits across NASA and federal government space portfolios
Demonstrated negotiation and executive communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of NASA centers, mission directorates, and acquisition organizations and their unique procurement and decision-making cultures
Deep understanding of U.S. government contracting vehicles, procurement processes, and compliance frameworks (FAR, commercial, OTA, etc.)
History of effective teaming agreement negotiation and partner ecosystem development
Exceptional strategic thinking, communication (oral and written), and executive engagement capabilities
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, engineering, space policy, or related field preferred
