Processing of ongoing financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting, as well as the associated cost accounting
Coding and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices, interim and final invoices, and contract change orders
Reconciliation of accounts, open items and project accounts
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
Accounting and valuation of construction projects, in particular work in progress, advance payments and provisions
Preparation of VAT returns with consideration of construction services and reverse charge (Section 13b UStG)
Participation in liquidity planning and project-related cash flow management
Close cooperation with site management, project controlling and external partners (tax advisors, auditors)
Preparation and support for annual financial statement audits, tax audits and company audits
Development and optimization of accounting processes in a project-driven construction environment
Requirements
Completed commercial vocational training with additional qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant), a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, or an equivalent qualification
Several years of professional experience in financial or balance sheet accounting, ideally in the construction industry or a project-oriented environment
Knowledge of commercial and tax law (HGB, UStG), ideally with experience in construction services / reverse charge (Section 13b UStG)
Experience with ERP or accounting systems and confident use of MS Excel
Understanding of project-related cost structures, cost centers and cost units in a construction environment is desirable
Independent, conscientious working style and strong service orientation
Team player with good communication skills and a sense of responsibility
High willingness to learn and interest in professional development
