Senior Resident Manager

Role Overview

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the property including overseeing physical maintenance and upkeep
• Effectuating administrative and clerical tasks
• Maintaining positive resident relations
• Adhering to all applicable rules and regulations
• Analyzing the respective property and highlighting its best attributes to effectively manage it
• Interviewing potential residents to determine whether they meet applicable regulations
• Collecting rent and serving late notices as needed and/or delegate the same
• Ensuring compliance with proper procedures and regulations for applicant certification
• Overseeing maintenance of property management software systems
• Reviewing, analyzing, and preparing weekly and monthly compliance reports
• Supervising maintenance and office staff
• Providing excellent customer service to residents and vendors

Requirements

• HUD, HOME, State affordable housing programs and tax credit experience
• Knowledge of property maintenance and physical maintenance/upkeep requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for residents and to manage staff
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; Yardi a plus
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through including ability to manage staff
• Able to work independently, prioritize, meet multiple deadlines, and supervise team members
• Valid driver’s license and required insurance
