Build and maintain a working knowledge of federal, local and company compliances.
Field observation including verifying and documenting federal, local and company compliance.
Completing inspection reports daily.
Documentation completed electronically on a company provided iPad including: Daily Reports, Pictures, Schedules, Time, and Expenses.
Working with detailed plans and procedures, tracking quantities and material and verifying the accuracy of mapping and as-built documentation.
Locate and flag utilities: Gas and electric.
Flag proposed electric and gas routes.
Navigate to multiple locations daily.
Travel may be required for up to 60% of the time.
Typical work hours range from 40 to 60 hours per week, 5-6 days per week.

3 years experience performing utility locates
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
A two-year technical degree from an accredited school in a field related to civil engineering construction is a plus
Experience locating gas, electric
Ability to perform quality, accurate locates
Fluency in Ticket Management Systems
Comprehensive knowledge of local 811 processes/laws
Familiarity with construction processes, installation methods, utility mapping (as-builts) (preferred)
Survey experience (preferred)
Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills
A minimum of a high school diploma
Reliable transportation and ability to perform work at multiple sites
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Working with hands, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Working at or on uneven terrain, slopes, in confined spaces, or reinforced trenches.
