Role Overview
- Oversee daily operations of international transportation and brokerage operation
- Supervise and coordinate activities in accordance with federal and foreign regulations
- Provide proactive customer service to internal and external customers
- Maintain performance statistics
- Review and monitor shipment documentation for accuracy
- Communicate with customs officials to resolve delays
- Conduct meetings with staff to assess group’s overall status and improvement ideas
- Maintain flexible work schedule including outside normal business hours
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum four years related experience
- Minimum one year supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations and recordkeeping
- Some professional certifications may be required for this position
- PC Literate
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
