Process Engineer – Manager

Role Overview

• Provide technical leadership, guidance and training to the engineering team
• Works on or serves as a resource on projects requiring advanced/specialized design/manufacturing knowledge
• Manage department budgets, headcount, capital equipment, outsourcing expenses, and assist with financial planning and tracking
• Work with product line management teams in support of the development of new product and technology roadmaps
• Provide input into defining capabilities required to meet the current and future needs and develops and executes plans to achieve
• Manage engineering and quality activities to ensure design robustness and manufacturability
• Perform Design of Experiments (DOE's) as necessary to ensure processes are centered
• Ensure critical process parameters are properly identified, effectively measured, monitored, and have prescribed corrections if required
• Ensure conformance to Product Development Process; monitor, track and report status of all projects
• Manage and provide input to ensure compliance to product specifications and defining project milestones to meet schedule requirements
• Define and implement best practices to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all environmental regulations and standards with regard to material handling and proper chemical waste disposal
• Interface with customers and key suppliers (occasional travel may be necessary)

Requirements

• 5+ years of process engineering experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred
• Previous experience in an engineering supervisory role is preferred
• PCB experience is preferred
