Provide technical leadership, guidance and training to the engineering team
Works on or serves as a resource on projects requiring advanced/specialized design/manufacturing knowledge
Manage department budgets, headcount, capital equipment, outsourcing expenses, and assist with financial planning and tracking
Work with product line management teams in support of the development of new product and technology roadmaps
Provide input into defining capabilities required to meet the current and future needs and develops and executes plans to achieve
Manage engineering and quality activities to ensure design robustness and manufacturability
Perform Design of Experiments (DOE's) as necessary to ensure processes are centered
Ensure critical process parameters are properly identified, effectively measured, monitored, and have prescribed corrections if required
Ensure conformance to Product Development Process; monitor, track and report status of all projects
Manage and provide input to ensure compliance to product specifications and defining project milestones to meet schedule requirements
Define and implement best practices to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all environmental regulations and standards with regard to material handling and proper chemical waste disposal
Interface with customers and key suppliers (occasional travel may be necessary)
Requirements
5+ years of process engineering experience is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred
Previous experience in an engineering supervisory role is preferred
