The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts, developing and implementing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets.
Identify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key clients, and provide excellent aftersales service to retain customers.
Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Generate new leads and prospects.
Build and maintain relationships with clients.
Conduct sales meetings and presentations.
Negotiate and close deals.
Meet or exceed sales targets.
Provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
Identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
Manage and grow existing client accounts.
Conduct regular check-ins with clients to ensure satisfaction.
Address and resolve any client concerns or issues.
Identify and pursue upselling and cross selling opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of products/services to clients.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for assigned territory.
Identify and prioritize key accounts and prospects in territory.
Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities in territory.
Plan and manage travel to visit clients and prospects within territory.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services.
Stay updated on industry trends and developments.
Effectively communicate product features and benefits to clients.
Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvements.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions.
Submit necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
Manage and track expenses related to sales activities.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field with at least 3 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
3+ years’ sales or sales related experience (Filter press, water treatment preferred).
Thorough knowledge of consultative/value-based selling.
Knowledge of water treatment preferred.
Previous experience in the use of CRM’s is required.
Proficiency in ERP System.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work with distributors and visit end user locations.
