Establish, develop and maintain trusted business relationships with existing clients
Acquire and develop new customers
Identify individual customer needs, advise clients and prepare appropriate proposals and solutions through to contract negotiation
Act as the primary contact for major customer projects and take responsibility for active account management as well as planning and monitoring project execution
Implement the sales strategy to secure and expand market share
Monitor industry and market developments and retail trends for both clients and consumers
Report to the Head of Sales and work closely with them and other departments (lighting designers, internal sales, product development, production, etc.)
Requirements
Completed vocational training or degree, and a good technical understanding
Professional experience in selling store concepts, lighting design or interior architecture
Strong sales orientation and excellent communication skills
Negotiation skills, proven ability to close contracts, and strong powers of persuasion
Proactive, innovative, strategic and results-oriented — in short: a true problem-solver
Enjoy working directly with employees, customers and suppliers
Confident, friendly and professional demeanor
Very good written and spoken English
Willingness to travel and a valid driving licence
Good knowledge of common MS Office programs and ERP systems; experience with Salesforce is an advantage
