About this role
Role Overview
You manage the strategic procurement of key components and services for battery storage projects (e.g., battery systems, PCS, transformers, switchgear, EMS/SCADA, as well as EPC and BoP services)
You develop category and supplier strategies that take into account global supply chains, raw material markets and regulatory requirements
You independently run international tenders (RFQ/RFP) and evaluate bids both technically and commercially
You negotiate complex project and framework agreements, including delivery terms, warranties, availability commitments and contractual penalties
You identify supply chain risks early and develop appropriate hedging and procurement strategies
As a partner to our technical departments, you bring purchasing expertise to specifications, awarding processes and decision-making
You actively contribute to building scalable procurement processes, tools and structures for our growing project portfolio
Requirements
Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification
Several years of experience in technical procurement, project procurement or category management—ideally in the energy, infrastructure or industrial sector
Good understanding of electrical components, systems or infrastructure projects and a solid grasp of technical interrelationships
Experience in contract negotiations, price analysis, supplier management and commercial procurement decisions
Analytical thinking, a structured way of working and strong negotiation skills
Strong communication skills and a confident manner with internal and external stakeholders
Occasional willingness to travel to our Munich site
Fluent German and strong English skills
