About this role
Role Overview
Develop and optimize transformation processes for oilseeds, protein crops and legumes: mechanical extraction, seed crushing/pressing, pre-treatments, purification.
Propose and lead innovative R&D projects, aligned with sector needs and partners (technical centers, research institutes, industry).
Analyze industrial performance (yields, material quality, energy, costs) and guide technology choices toward profitability and sustainability.
Promote and represent your area of expertise within scientific, technical and industrial networks by publishing and attending conferences.
Contribute to the scientific strategy of the field and to raising the organization’s profile with media, partners and technical decision-makers.
Requirements
Engineering doctorate / PhD (ideally CIFRE-funded thesis) and post-doctoral experience in chemical engineering, process engineering or food science/technology.
Experience in an industrial environment or in applied research.
Willingness to work on multidisciplinary projects combining research, innovation and field/sector engagement.
Skills in process engineering / chemical engineering / mechanical extraction of plant materials.
Industrial performance analysis, cost evaluation and economic feasibility assessment.
Strong background in applied R&D and scientific writing.
Fluency in French and English.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to explain complex work to non-specialists and to advocate for the work and the organization.
Scientific leadership: authoritative expertise and natural influence.
Curious, diplomatic and comfortable working in networks (academic and industrial partners).
