Oversee construction activities to ensure quality, safety and target results are achieved.
Oversee all onsite and offsite work to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
Review and implement construction drawings and specifications.
Help develop and implement QC plans, safety plans, and project schedules.
Provide input to finalize the project planning and make adjustments along the way for unforeseen events.
Maintain a tracking log of deficiencies during construction and develop a final punch list upon completion of work.
Lead preparatory, initial, and final meetings to set QC standards before work is performed.
Lead weekly safety briefings and ensure all work is performed in accordance with the safety plan.
Complete daily reports on work progress and conduct weekly teleconferences with the Project Manager to update status on quality, safety, and the schedule.
Responsible for developing dig permits, outages plans, as needed to schedule the work with the Customer.
Requirements
15+ Years of experience overseeing construction projects, including on-site experience.
International experience is a plus.
U.S. Department of Defense construction experience is a plus.
Knowledge of EM-385 and USACE Quality Control methods a plus.
Engineering, architecture or equivalent Construction Management Degree required.
Experience in building construction, renovations and site utilities.
Knowledge of project scheduling techniques and software (P-6 knowledge a plus).
Must have a good understanding of construction requirements including plans and specifications, subcontractor and material procurement, construction execution, and building commissioning.
Strong written and spoken communication skills required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening to the satisfaction of the UK and US Customers.
