Senior Accountant

Role Overview

• Leads and executes the month-end close process
• Prepares financial reports, analyzes variances, and supplies management with timely and relevant financial analysis
• Assists in the execution of the audited financial statements and preparation of audit work papers
• Reviews, researches and explains variances to budget and forecasts
• Works with finance team members at manufacturing sites, sales subsidiaries, acquired subsidiaries, and Corporate functional areas
• Supports special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• BS/BA in Accounting or related field
• 3-6 years’ experience preferred
• CPA/CMA preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a constantly interrupting environment
• Excellent verbal and written English language skills
• Good public relations, public speaking, instructional/teaching, and customer service skills
• Ability to read, interpret, understand and explain documents such as processes and company reports
• Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn and promote self-growth
• Attention to administrative detail required
• Ability to solve practical problems without close supervision
