About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation
Facilitates modifications to clinical documentation through interaction with physicians and staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement
Ensures accuracy and completeness of clinical information for measuring and reporting outcomes
Educates team members on coding and documentation requirements
Conducts ongoing follow-up reviews and interacts with healthcare providers to improve documentation
Requirements
Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia
Associates Degree
Five (5) years in the practice of professional nursing
CCDS or CDIP preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Additional education in Finance, Healthcare regulations and diagnoses-procedure coding preferred
Experience in Healthcare Utilization and Revenue Management preferred
Demonstrates aptitude in critical care or medical-surgical nursing
Familiar with ICD10 coding conventions, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, MSDRG reimbursement, coding software (preferably 3M 360 Encompass)
