Mid-level Attorney – Tax Consulting

Role Overview

• Identify and compile administrative and judicial tax credits;
• Ensure timely compliance with the firm's internal/administrative procedures;
• Draft legal opinions and consultations of medium to high complexity;
• Prepare calculation spreadsheets;
• Perform tax reviews and provide guidance to junior attorneys;
• Conduct reviews of ancillary tax obligations (obrigações acessórias) and provide guidance to junior attorneys;
• Participate in tax planning projects;
• Actively participate in internal groups/committees;
• Conduct technical studies and related internal presentations;
• Supervise the work of interns and junior attorneys;
• Conduct doctrinal, case law, and legislative research of medium complexity, presenting creative and well-developed findings

Requirements

• Law degree required; postgraduate studies in Tax Law preferred, and courses in accounting or other specific subjects;
• Prior professional experience in Tax Law will be considered an advantage;
• 3 to 7 years post-qualification experience;
• Advanced English desirable;
• Active OAB registration.
