Monitoring current legal, regulatory, and market developments, and keeping attorneys and clients abreast of these developments through emails, bulletins, training or other appropriate means
Developing and maintaining a collection of key terms from prior private equity finance transactions and analysing such terms for trends and market developments
Drafting and maintaining standard forms, templates, guidance notes and other knowledge resources to help our attorneys to work at the highest level
Supporting the practice’s internal training programs for the benefit of associates and trainees
Generally acting as a sounding board for ad hoc legal and technical legal queries from attorneys
Interacting and collaborating with the firm’s other KM Lawyers and with the Innovation, Business Development, Brand & Communications, Research & Library, and other departments on a knowledgeable and professional level
Participating in external forums with members of the wider legal community and external service providers in order to keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments
Requirements
A solicitor qualified in England and Wales
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
A self-starter willing to take the initiative and able to perform responsibilities without close supervision
A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent)
A minimum of five (5) years’ post-qualification experience as a practising lawyer in the finance practice at a leading international law firm
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
The ability to work independently on and deliver projects of significant complexity on a timely basis.
