Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and Quantitative Analysts (Quants) to source data from various teams within Citi
Analyze data per business requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
Generate and design robust data schemas to support analytical and operational needs
Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive data quality rules and validation frameworks
Manage and deploy data schemas across various platforms and environments
Take ownership of data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with enterprise data standards
Maintain and manage metadata repositories, ensuring comprehensive documentation of data lineage, definitions, and business context
Consult with business clients to identify system functional specifications and apply comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business goals
Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards; recommend solutions
Requirements
5+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or related fields, preferably within financial services or banking
Demonstrated experience in data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
Experience working with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, technology teams, and quantitative analysts
Proficient in SQL : Advanced querying, optimization, and database management
Proficient in Python : Data manipulation (pandas, numpy), analysis, automation, and scripting
Advanced Excel : Complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, data modeling, and advanced analytics
JIRA : Project management, issue tracking, and agile methodologies
Confluence : Documentation, knowledge management, and collaboration
Understanding of data quality frameworks and validation techniques
Strong capability to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources
Proven ability to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact
