About this role
Role Overview
Translating high-level business vision into detailed, structured technical requirements
Creating clear feature specifications ready for development (acceptance criteria, edge cases, flows)
Designing and documenting: End-to-end system workflows, Multi-party interactions (applicant, merchant, lender, internal ops), Payments and money-movement logic, Role and permission matrices, Modeling system integrations and data flows between internal and external services
Collaborating closely with engineers on API design and integration-related decisions
Working closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations to clarify requirements before development begins
Supporting backlog grooming and prioritization with the PM
Maintaining structured, version-controlled documentation in Confluence
Identifying logic gaps, risk areas, and compliance concerns early in the design phase
Assisting in API requirement definition and integration planning with third-party providers
Requirements
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical environment
Strong experience in fintech (payments, lending, underwriting, or financial systems required)
Hands-on experience with API analysis (REST; GraphQL is a plus)
Ability to read and fully comprehend API documentation (e.g., Swagger / OpenAPI), identify gaps, risks, and dependencies
Experience modeling system integrations and complex data flows
Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and backend-driven platforms
Strong documentation discipline — you create specs engineers appreciate
Experience with Jira and Confluence (structured documentation, not just notes)
Ability to create: BPMN diagrams, UML diagrams, Sequence diagrams, State diagrams
Strong stakeholder communication skills (English B2+ minimum)
Ability to challenge assumptions and identify inconsistencies
