Help to maintain a safe, healthy, and organized working environment for all graphics areas, glaze line booths, and inkjet systems
Ensure all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered too, especially pertaining to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and personal protective equipment
Follow the plant Quality Management System
Lead the graphic team by providing color management support to production and coordinate upcoming color changes on the production lines
Lead team to coordinate with Research + Development (R+D), Planning, and glaze suppliers all process trials related to New Product Introduction
Lead graphic team and glaze prep department providing technical support to resolve problems with regards to shade variations, glaze defects, application problems, and other problems as needed
Work with R+D and corporate marketing on new product characterization process
Assist in the performance, linearization, and operation of inkjet printers
Write reports and to effectively present information to groups of managers
Monitor equipment and/or processes and ensures timely reporting of any unusual problems to supervisor
Follow company operating procedures and policy guidelines
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design or a directly related field of study
5 years of progressively responsible and related experience with graphic production design
5 years of graphic design experience in a color management and manufacturing environment
5 years of experience in Microsoft Office software
3 years of experience with Photoshop programs on a Mac computer
3 years of experience in Photoshop and Adobe
2 years of experience with color management in a ceramic industry setting
2 years of ceramic manufacturing process experience to include glaze line equipment and glaze prep process
1 year of experience with spreadsheets and word processors to perform various analysis and business correspondence
