Provide direct line management for Software Development Engineers, including performance management, coaching, career development, and succession planning.
Assigning team members to projects and monitoring their deliverables in terms of quality and timeliness.
Defining and monitoring team goals and development plans.
Oversee build and deployment of test and production databases
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Quality, Design, Translations, and Project Management teams
Provide technical leadership to ensure high‑quality design and engineering practices
Oversee and guide complex, customized client implementations
Ensure operational readiness including pilot projects, internal validation, and experimental development initiatives
Maintain coding standards and best practices within a regulated environment (ISO, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11)
Provide technical oversight and direction, ensuring appropriate design decisions, code quality standards, and engineering practices are upheld by the team.
Investigate and resolve high-impact technical production issues
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (tools, automation, process optimization, Kaizen)
Communicate project timelines, scope, risks, and technical decisions clearly to stakeholders
Support documentation and compliance requirements including SWIs and validation documentation
Manage resource planning and ensure team productivity and delivery excellence

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
5–7+ years of professional line management experience
Experience leading teams that deliver production software in a commercial or enterprise environment
Prior experience in a regulated environment (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA 21 CFR Part 11)
Strong knowledge in one or more of the following technologies: JavaScript, SQL, C++, iOS, Android
Experience with version control and issue tracking tools (GitLab, TFS, JIRA, Visual Studio, Eclipse)
Experience working within Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, or Waterfall methodologies
Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineers or leading technical initiatives
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
