Take responsibility for medical education initiatives, ensuring quality, scientific accuracy, balance and the non-promotional nature of information and data.
Leverage new technologies (e.g., iPad, Webex, live/virtual feedback tools) to enhance the development and delivery of educational initiatives.
Collect, analyze and synthesize data, intelligence and insights in medical education related to the assigned therapeutic area, and share them with relevant internal functions.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of internal procedures and external guidelines, including those of national and provincial accreditation bodies.
Ensure that all educational initiatives comply with the requirements of Health Canada, OPPB (PAAB), the IMC Code of Ethical Practices, as well as internal policies and SOPs.
Integrate updated scientific data, publications and product priorities to support the development of value-added educational programs.
Report any potential adverse event, event of special interest or medical device-related incident within 24 hours of becoming aware, in accordance with adverse event training requirements.
Requirements
Degree in the sciences and relevant experience in a pharmaceutical, medical, CME or training environment, with a strong focus on education and teaching.
CCPE certification.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical education, CME, training or a related pharmaceutical role.
Bilingual (English and French), with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry guidelines, including Health Canada, OPPB (PAAB) and the IMC Code of Ethical Practices.
Thorough knowledge of CME principles, adult learning methodologies, accreditation processes and program evaluation.
Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial considerations.
