About this role
Role Overview
- Evaluate customer designs for manufacturability and recommend improvements using Xometry’s technologies and capabilities.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure quality and cost efficiency.
- Support production troubleshooting to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Interface with machine shops, fabrication partners, internal teams, and clients to drive project success.
- Participate in initiatives to expand and strengthen Xometry’s manufacturing partner network and technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- 1–2 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience focusing on CNC machining and/or sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong understanding of process cycle times, material and geometry limitations, and cost optimization.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers, OEMs, and customers.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Solid knowledge of GD&T and inspection/QA practices.
- Proven ability to identify DFM issues from CAD models and technical drawings.
- Experience with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and 3D printing is highly desirable.
