Role Overview
- Own day-to-day accounting operations for Uruguay, Argentina, and Mexico entities
- Execute or oversee bookkeeping, journal entries, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare or contribute to monthly financial reporting packages
- Manage payroll processing for employees and contractors
- Ensure payroll compliance with local labor laws
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local partners
- Support US accounting team with various tasks
- Identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 3 years managing multi-country or multi-entity accounting
- Experience with intercompany accounting and transfer pricing
- Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax compliance requirements in Uruguay
- Familiarity with Argentina and/or Mexico accounting, tax, and payroll regulations
- Fluency in both Spanish and English
- Experience managing payroll operations across multiple countries
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
