Manage leaves of absence and workplace accommodations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies and coordination with Payroll
Support managers to document and manage performance issues
Oversee contractor lifecycle, including performance management, extensions, and conversions to full-time roles
Coordinate temp-to-hire processes and support hiring managers with smooth transitions
Maintain and update the employee handbook to ensure accuracy and compliance
Provide support for immigration processes, including documentation and coordination with external partners
Administer offboarding processes, including systems access, and compliance requirements
Requirements
3-5+ years progressive experience in an HR or People function, preferably in a generalist role
Strong knowledge of leave management, accommodations, and employment law compliance (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
Experience with California and San Francisco specific employment regulations
Some familiarity with immigration processes and employment-based visas is a plus
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage sensitive employee information with discretion and confidentiality
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly across teams and levels
Proven success working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
