Provide daily technical support to artists and production teams on Windows, macOS and Linux workstations.
Manage user accounts, permissions and workstation configurations via Active Directory and related administration tools.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues with a strong customer-service focus and clear communication.
Support remote workflows using Teradici or similar remote-access technologies.
Deploy and clone workstations using tools such as WDS, FOG or Clonezilla, while maintaining accurate documentation and rigorous asset tracking.
Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 (L2) network issues related to DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN and high-bandwidth studio networks.
Support render farm operations, including queue management, troubleshooting failed jobs, node issues, license errors and render management tools such as Deadline or Qube.
Assist artists in resolving issues with major VFX/animation applications such as Maya, Houdini, Nuke and Blender.
Diagnose and resolve pipeline-related issues including file paths, permissions, environment variables and asset management workflows.
Collaborate with infrastructure, pipeline and production teams to ensure smooth studio operations.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide support on flexible schedules as needed.
Lift and move equipment up to 50 lb as part of workstation setups and studio configurations.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of technical support or IT administration experience in a VFX, animation, game or creative production environment.
Strong expertise with Windows 10/11, Active Directory and workstation management.
Solid knowledge of macOS and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky preferred).
Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including protocols, VLANs, VPNs and monitoring tools.
