Own and maintain a rolling editorial calendar aligned to: Priority practice areas (e.g., divorce, custody, support, protection orders).
Develop content themes and ongoing series such as “Divorce 101,” “Custody Basics,” or “What to Expect at Your First Consultation.”
Collaborate with Growth Marketing to align content with campaigns, webinars, and new market launches.
Write and edit high-quality content across: Practice area and location landing pages, educational blogs, guides, resource articles, client-facing resource pages, and FAQs.
Transform attorney interviews and complex legal insights into content that is clear, human, accurate, and accessible.
Coordinate with leadership, attorneys, and external partners to secure expert commentary, podcast appearances, and local/regional media mentions.
Own the calendar, research, submission, and tracking of attorney, staff, and firm award nominations.
Requirements
5+ years of content marketing, legal writing, copywriting, or editorial experience (in-house or agency) within the legal industry.
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
Experience in legal, professional services, healthcare, or another highly regulated, high-trust category.
Strong portfolio demonstrating long-form educational content (articles, guides, landing pages, resource hubs) that builds trust and drives conversions.
Practical PR/earned media experience, including coordinating placements, supporting expert commentary, or running contributor programs.
Demonstrated interviewing skills; confident speaking with attorneys and experts and converting complex ideas into clear, structured content.
Working knowledge of on-page SEO best practices and experience measuring content performance and impact on lead generation.
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with family law topics (divorce, custody, support, prenuptial agreements) or strong interest and ability to learn quickly.
High level knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft Suite of products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe; and Zoom Conferencing Technology.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary to handle routine or emergent issues.
