Provide supervision and oversight of shooting operations at the Hammond Cove Shooting Range Facility.
Supervise shooting activities as prescribed by the Range Standard Operation Procedures (SOP's).
Educate users on the Range Safety Rules and enforce all Range Safety Rules.
Evaluate the condition of the Range upon arrival and prior to departure each day.
Perform all duties related to check in of users at the Range.
Clean up the Range facility at the end of each day.
Perform required maintenance and upkeep of equipment and materials.
Facilitate emergency safety protocols in the event of a life-threatening injury or incident.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a natural resources field, law enforcement or education.
High school or GED.
Four years' experience in a natural resources field, law enforcement or education.
Preferred Qualifications: Law enforcement at a municipal, county, state or federal law enforcement agency, military range instructor, or similar work related to safety operations on a firing range.
Experience as a firearms instructor is highly desirable.
Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain Range Safety Officer certification & First Aid/First responder training.
Must be eligible for certification as a hunter education instructor.
