Training Coordinator

Role Overview

• Provide supervision and oversight of shooting operations at the Hammond Cove Shooting Range Facility.
• Supervise shooting activities as prescribed by the Range Standard Operation Procedures (SOP's).
• Educate users on the Range Safety Rules and enforce all Range Safety Rules.
• Evaluate the condition of the Range upon arrival and prior to departure each day.
• Perform all duties related to check in of users at the Range.
• Clean up the Range facility at the end of each day.
• Perform required maintenance and upkeep of equipment and materials.
• Facilitate emergency safety protocols in the event of a life-threatening injury or incident.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a natural resources field, law enforcement or education.
• High school or GED.
• Four years' experience in a natural resources field, law enforcement or education.
• Preferred Qualifications: Law enforcement at a municipal, county, state or federal law enforcement agency, military range instructor, or similar work related to safety operations on a firing range.
• Experience as a firearms instructor is highly desirable.
• Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain Range Safety Officer certification & First Aid/First responder training.
• Must be eligible for certification as a hunter education instructor.
