Manages strategic communications for the School of Medicine (SOM)
Develops plans and messages that strengthen engagement, transparency, alignment, and trust across a diverse internal audience of faculty, staff, trainees and students
Designs and implements internal communications strategies to ensure strategic, timely, and relevant communications
Serves as a strategic advisor to department or Dean's office leadership
Ensures consistency in tone, voice and messaging architecture across departments and audiences
Tracks key metrics and reports on communications impact and effectiveness
Produces and edits high-quality content
Translates complex scientific, medical and educational topics into accessible, engaging narratives
Builds and maintains strong relationships with key leaders, faculty and staff in assigned areas
Collaborates with colleagues across the broader SOM and Emory Healthcare team
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
Four years of marketing, writing/research, project management or related experience
Knowledge of publishing and other related software
Demonstrated creativity in the design of marketing, public relations or educational programs and communications materials
Excellent writing and project management skills
