Role Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and monitor laboratory enterprise systems (e.g., ELN, CDS)
- Ensure system performance, reliability, security, and compliance with internal and external standards
- Ensuring an efficient setup for operations, monitoring and measurement of system
- Customize and configure applications to meet evolving business and scientific requirements
- Establish and maintain governance policies, documentation, and best practices for data integrity and system usage
- Develop, maintain, and validate interfaces between laboratory systems and other corporate solutions (e.g., ERP, LIMS, instrument software)
- General Laboratory Admin Tasks: Support laboratory hard
- and software administration including setup and configuration of measurement devices, instrument connectivity, and troubleshooting
Lifecycle Management
- Lead or participate in vendor evaluations and system selection processes
- Implement new platforms, including planning, validation, deployment, and user onboarding
- Continuously assess system performance, usage, and technical roadmaps
- Plan, coordinate, and execute system upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning activities
Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- +5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably from pharma, biotech or another regulated industry
- Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, structured, and self-organized working style
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across IT and scientific functions
- Experience in system administration and enterprise platforms, ideally in a laboratory, R&D, or scientific environment
- Experience with integration architectures and technologies (e.g., REST APIs, middleware) is an advantage
- Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
Experience from a fast‑growing organization and experience with agile or product‑oriented methodologies will be considered an advantage
