Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with regulatory requirements and GAAP standards
Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals
Lead the accounting & finance team in managing day-to-day functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, forecasting, analysis, and reporting
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operations and strategic investments
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Implement accounting & financial policies and procedures adhering to regulatory and GAAP standards
Serve on the Asset Liability Management Committee, managing interest rate risk functions and continual development of ALM processes
Develop and maintain organizational, departmental, and product profitability models
Participate in projects and duties as needed, with a primary focus on stabilization, risk reduction, and process maturity
Stay updated on innovative concepts within the credit union movement and financial services industry
Perform other duties as directed by leadership
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and/or similar years of experience or competency
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in progressively responsible financial roles, with a track record of success in complex organizations
7-10 years’ experience of asset/liability management, liquidity management, budgeting, accounting and financial analysis and reporting
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen
Proven ability to establish discipline, accountability, and trust within finance functions.
Previous experience working in financial institutions (optional)
Proficiency with Profitstar’s financial model or similar software (optional)
Experience with mortgage sales in the secondary market (optional)
CPA or MBA qualification (optional)
