Learns the complex, established accuracy standards for Final Deliverables on DOE awards
Deliverables include financial, equipment, technical, and invention reporting documents, as well as research-funded publications
Obtain and review final deliverables from project recipients, following specific guidance, standard operating procedures, and established best practices
Provide clear feedback to recipients, and collect updates as needed
Regular contact methods include emails, phone calls, and virtual meetings
Coordinate the approval of completed documents by federal staff, following established procedures
Communicate daily with internal parties including technical program staff, legal, contracting, and property specialties, as well as external communication with project recipients in academia, nonprofits, and private industry
Document all award-related actions in a Microsoft Access Database
Review award closeout packages for peers, to ensure quality and consistency
May occasionally assist technology offices with special projects, such as merit reviews, quarterly reporting reviews, or other aspects of active project management
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (project management, sustainable energy, earth science, energy management, or another related technical discipline)
3+ years of experience
Self-starter, the ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
Skilled learning and using computer software programs for standard office use
Ability to balance a high workload with tangible deadlines
Must be a US citizen
Successful drug screening
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge
