Role Overview
- Maintain, enhance, and refactor existing backend systems
- Develop and support applications using Java 21/25 LTS
- Work within an agile development environment alongside cross-functional teams
- Troubleshoot issues, ensure long-term stability, and improve code quality
- Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders
- Contribute to technical decisions, documentation, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in Java (preferably Java 21/25 LTS)
- Experience working with or maintaining backend architectures
- Solid understanding of software design, clean code principles, and testing practices
- Very good German language skills (B2 or higher) and good English skills
- Independent, solution-oriented, and structured working style
- Ability to collaborate in distributed and multicultural teams
- Experience with NetBeans RCP
- Familiarity with Bitbucket
- Working experience with Linux
