Completing task analyses and workflow documentation with such goals as to resolve programmatic, administrative, and operational issues;
Acting as a team leader in the absence of management, allocating resources to maximize productivity and efficiency;
Creating schedules as needed for queues, phones, and other operational activities;
Reviewing and processing firearm transactions in the Firearm Eligibility System (FES) queue from licensed firearm dealers to screen potential buyer's eligibility to purchase a firearm;
Evaluating requests by analyzing criminal justice information in FES in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner and processing transactions in accordance with state and federal law;
Assessing, analyzing, and making recommendations to resolve issues and problems within the Section/Bureau/Division;
Contacting local, state, and federal agencies by telephone or written correspondence to obtain information necessary to determine a firearm buyer's eligibility;
Evaluating workflow cases to ensure quality control of information submitted through CCH workflow.
Requirements
Knowledge of the criminal justice system
Knowledge of office and administrative principles and practices
Knowledge of the methods of data collection
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication
Knowledge of the FCIC/NCIC, III, CCH, and NICS information systems
Knowledge of customer service etiquette and ability to apply it effectively
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to read and interpret law enforcement data, Florida Statutes, Commission Rules, and Divisional Policy and Procedures.
