About this role
Role Overview
- Analyzes and reconciles complex investment transactions on a daily basis to various data sources
- Updates the investment accounting sub-ledger (FAM)
- Participates in the accounting and reporting of real estate owned (REOs) investments
- Assists with the training and development of junior team members
- Assists junior team members in resolving complex issues that may arise during daily processing
- Coordinates activities with the Global Investments Division
- Independently coordinates and maintains effective working relationships with business partners
- Assists in developing and implementing new applications and analytical models
- Maintains a continuous improvement culture by looking for ways to eliminate manual processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Four years of professional job-related work experience in investments or related accounting/reporting
- Advanced proficiency level using Microsoft Office suite software
- VBA/macro experience preferred
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and time management skills
- Advanced user of SAP, BW or similar software preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the accounting standards codification (ASC)
- Knowledge of specific insurance/investment accounting principles preferred
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience performing financial analysis, reporting, and/or process improvement
- General understanding of investment products preferred
