Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842
Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of lease accounting, including related stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls that support internal and external reporting
Proactively works on preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support of lease accounting
Reconciles balance sheet accounts; Investigates and resolves variances on a timely basis
Supports assigned internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance
Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership
Proactively seeks to keep abreast of accounting, reporting and disclosure standards promulgated by the FASB, SEC and PCAOB that affect internal accounting and reporting practices
Provides sound analysis and supports the impact of changes
Other duties and/or responsibilities not specifically set forth above may, however, be assigned as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university focusing in Accounting, or Financial Accounting
Minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment
Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred
