Responsible for Electrical Power System studies and Electrical activities in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for Pre FEED, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the energy sector
Ensure the work is in accordance with design standards and codes whilst co-ordinating with the rest of the project engineering teams
Utilize extensive previous experience in FEED and EPC projects within the Oil & Gas Industry to develop, prepare, review and deliver design deliverables and packages and carry out Power System Studies using specialty software like ETAP or equivalent
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree within the Electrical Engineering field or a BA in Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering
Experience in design, engineering and construction
Must have Pre FEED, FEED, EPC and EPCm project experience
Must have experience with Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) or similar software and all Microsoft office
Must have Pre FEED, FEED, EPC and EPCm project experience of carrying our Power System Studies and driving project decisions based on study recommendations
Engineer must be familiar with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC and other International electrical standards, best practices and value practices
Thorough knowledge of the English language is required to perform the necessary in depth analysis and studies, make professional presentations and keep up with technical advancements
Experience of technical management of Third-party Power system study consultants
Chartered Engineer (desirable)
Experience of site support and construction during EPC phase of projects (desirable)
Familiar with analogue and Digital Control Systems including Power System Automation (PSA), DCS, PLC and SCADA controls (desirable)
Experience with Middle East based clients and Projects including Saudi Aramco (desirable)
