Prepare and review complex journal entries and month-end accruals.
Maintain the fixed asset master and understand the fixed accounting and relevant monthly movements
Perform intercompany bookings with the focus on outgoing invoices.
Actively communicates with counterparties and manages the resolution of imbalances
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.
Proactively resolves differences identified.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to meet corporate deadlines.
Coordinate month-end close activities in the absence of Chief Accountant, ensuring books are closed accurately and on-time.
Analyze variances and understands fluctuations in Balance Sheet accounts
Assist in preparing internal and external financial statements.
Ensure compliance with local GAAP and supports the month-end in line with US GAAP reporting standards.
Assist in data gathering, preparation and submission of tax returns.
Provide supporting information on recurring or ad-hoc corporate requests.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
Prepare documentation and support internal and external audit requests.
Identify control gaps and propose remediation activities.
Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in finance projects, including system upgrades, policy updates, and new business integrations.
Provide support, coaching, and technical guidance to junior accountants.
Review the work of less experienced team members and ensure quality and compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
Professional qualification (Chartered Accountant) preferred or in progress.
3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in a multinational environment is an advantage. (We suggest not from SSC – as those are very specific process orientated, the key is that the person needs to have experience with end-to-end accounting.
Deep knowledge of local GAAP .
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, and reconciliations.
Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Experience supporting audits and preparing high-quality documentation.
