Own and continuously improve ANNA Money Australia’s compliance framework across regulated products and services
Lead day-to-day compliance oversight for AFSL / ACL / AML-CTF related obligations and ensure the business operates within approved permissions and controls
Act as a senior compliance partner to Product, Operations, Credit, and Commercial teams so new products and changes are launched safely and pragmatically
Manage regulatory relationships and regulatory engagement with bodies such as ASIC, AUSTRAC, and external partners as required
Oversee breach, incident, complaint, and reporting processes, including ensuring issues are identified, escalated, and resolved properly
Maintain and evolve core compliance artefacts including policies, registers, monitoring plans, control frameworks, and board / management reporting
Support licensing workstreams and ongoing obligations across existing and future regulatory permissions
Oversee outsourced / partner compliance dependencies across key external providers, schemes, and vendors
Embed a strong compliance culture internally through training, coaching, and clear operating standards
Work closely with leadership on medium-term regulatory capability building, including helping ANNA mature toward a more sophisticated regulated operating model over time
Requirements
Significant experience in compliance, legal/compliance, or regulatory risk within Australian financial services
Strong working knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment across some combination of AFSL, ACL, AML/CTF, payments, cards, lending, and financial services conduct obligations
Experience operating in a regulated fintech, bank, lender, payments business, or similarly complex financial services environment
Demonstrated ability to build and improve compliance frameworks, not just maintain inherited ones
Comfortable working closely with product and commercial teams and balancing pace with control
Strong judgement, personal accountability, and ability to operate calmly in ambiguity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief executives and translate regulatory issues into business decisions
Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional work to completion

Experience supporting or leading AFSL / ACL applications, variations, or ongoing licence management
Experience working with ASIC and/or AUSTRAC directly
Experience in cards, principal issuing, business lending, or payments infrastructure
Experience with outsourced / third-party distribution or corporate authorised representative models
Exposure to board or executive-level governance processes
Interest in helping build the compliance foundations for a larger, more sophisticated regulated business over time
