Oversee a diverse group of professionals engaged in public health programs
Develop or facilitate the development of multi-year divisional strategic and operating plans
Provide strategic leadership and exercise good judgment in the development, design, and implementation of policies and programs
Monitor program performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure targets are met
Ensure compliance with public health legislation and standards
Foster effective teamwork and provide resolution to controversial labour relations issues
Direct and hold responsibility for compliance with quality assurance and risk management standards.

Post-secondary education in a related discipline
Extensive senior leadership experience
Certification and membership in the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI) would be an asset
Strong track record of establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships
Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
Commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity and reconciliation.
Familiarity with relevant government legislation
Extensive experience managing complex assignments and leading a diverse team.
