This position would provide key support to the Assembly Technical Planning department and give broad experience in automotive manufacturing processes to the candidate.
Develop engineering and project management skills in a manufacturing environment
Support the planning and coordination of assembly structure and equipment projects and modification activities with implementation and strategic focus within international, cross functional project teams.
Assist planners daily with chassis and powertrain assembly planning tasks
Gather and report data for weekly presentation of team deliverables
Assist assembly planners with special equipment or new vehicle projects
Review, create and modify process descriptions for continuous improvement within assembly
Shutdown support and reporting
Risk filter execution for assembly process and equipment
Participate in Assembly concept developments and evaluations
Participate in design reviews of new process and equipment related to Chassis and Powertrain
Risk filter execution for assembly process and equipment
Project Management and supplier management
Launch topic tracking and resolution
Performs other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial/Systems Engineering preferred)
Basic CAD Software knowledge
Digital Database experience preferred (Excel Macros, Sharepoint, APEX, etc.)
Self-driven to push projects and tasks forward.
Organized & Detail Oriented
Effective communication skills
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
