Execute a hunter‑style prospecting strategy across your territory using phone outreach, online insights, field visits, referral channels, industry relationships, and trade show presence.
Represent and sell C.H. Robinson's industry-leading core suite of services
Drive initial prospect engagement through phone, email, and tech‑powered outreach tools to uncover customer needs and qualify opportunities.
Facilitate face-to-face meetings, present proposals and solutions, close business in person
Independently identify and generate new sales opportunities
Collaborate internally with team on pricing strategy and account implementation plans
Assist with account management issues after the sale, as needed
Establish credit terms with clients in coordination with company goals and directives
Manage individual sales funnel information regarding all prospective customers in the required format
Review weekly/monthly sales activities and prospective customers with Management
Engaging in self-development & training opportunities, both internal & external
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 years of previous consultative sales experience
Ability to travel a minimum of 50%
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience (Preferred)
5 years minimum sales or account management experience (Preferred)
Consistent, proficient CRM usage with strong attention to data accuracy (Preferred)
Willingness and demonstrated ability to sell both Inside (phone and email solicitation) & Outside (face-to-face meetings, proposals, closings) (Preferred)
Strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills, and business acumen (Preferred)
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of a customer’s organization including C-Level (Preferred)
Ability to collaborate internally with all levels of sales resources and other team resources (Preferred)
Aggressive, competitive, resilient attitude with a strong work ethic (Preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Preferred)
Organizational skills and comfort multitasking in a fast-paced environment (Preferred)
