About this role
Role Overview
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems.
- Perform instrument transformer and power transformer tests.
- Test electro-mechanical and solid state relays, cable testing, automatic transfer switch troubleshooting.
- Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Must have at least 2 or more years of relevant experience performing switchgear testing & troubleshooting.
- Prefer an Associate’s degree from an accredited 2 year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC), or a EE Degree from an ABET accredited college.
- Must have good PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Excel.
- Prefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training; training on each can be provided by Shermco.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods.
