Evolve the processing, designing, qualification of AM components.
Lead communications with project teams and respective customers.
Work with project teams to understand needs and drive the execution of material qualifications and designs.
Seek new advanced ways to improve and evolve additive manufacturing processes.
Mentor and aid in the development of less experienced engineers.

Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
A minimum of 15 years work experience in engineering support of heavy component manufacturing including joining and machining operations.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities with excellent communication.
Relationships with external subject matter experts within the industry and customer base to support additive manufacturing implementation.
Ability to lead a team of engineers towards the additive manufacturing strategic goals at EMD.
Practical experience with various additive manufacturing processes parameters, material properties, qualification standards, and metallurgical analysis techniques.
Goal-oriented, results driven, problem-solving attitude.
Demonstrated project planning skills and understanding of cost and schedule implications.
Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
