The Underwriting Associate has limited renewal Underwriting authority and performs designated underwriting accountabilities
Works with an assigned team and provides support to members of the underwriting community in the areas of underwriting operations, procedures, policy qualifying, rating, quoting and binding within underwriting authority
Completes the Underwriting process within defined authority including: Comparing information from submitted requests to policy output documents to verify accuracy and completeness during the underwriting process
Review and verification of underwriting data, such as name, address, description of operations, exposures, risk selection, loss data and rating to determine risk eligibility
Examination of correspondence from insured’s or their representatives, original insurance applications, and other company documents to determine if changes are needed and effects of changes
Review, rate, quote and bind risks within UW authority and guidelines including proper file documentation
Record quotes not taken up or missed opportunities in system of record
Determination that account is compliant with state regulations
Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
Requirements
2+ year experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Manager required
Multinational experience preferred
Demonstrated understanding of Underwriting Guidelines
Knowledge of the following primary insurance coverage's: Workers Compensation, Auto, General Liability, Property
Technical expert; MS Office with a strong emphasis with Excel
Excellent Written and verbal communication skills
