Underwrite credit transactions for various lines of business
Spread and analyze financial statements
Monitor credit risk within loan portfolio
Prepare annual financial reviews and credit memos
Accompany lenders on customer and prospect calls to support the bank’s relationship banking culture through ongoing customer contact, quality customer service, and product knowledge
Provide support to the relationship managers
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics preferred)
Targeted minimum GPA of 3.5, considered in context with overall experience and strengths
Strong analytical, multi-tasking, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams
Excellent relationship-building and client-interaction skills
Demonstrated critical thinking, curiosity, collaboration, and comfort speaking up in group settings; personable and engaging with stakeholders; technical credit skills can be developed through training
Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, student organizations, relevant clubs, or prior internship experience that reflects initiative, leadership, and interest in financial or client-focused work
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with target graduation from April 2026 to June 2026
Travel to various Byline locations across Illinois will be necessary; analysts are expected to provide their own transportation or use public transit to reach Chicago, Libertyville, Itasca, Naperville, Wilmette, or Morton Grove (hybrid/remote options may be available)
