Oversee primary ownership of brand partnerships, with more selectively defined public relations responsibilities across strategy, project management, and other functions. Role is focused on:
End-to-end partnership strategy development that aligns to brand KPIs.
Identification, sourcing, outreach and negotiation, and management of partnerships with DMOs, tourism ministries, associations, brands, and talent
Partnership management that includes building integrations from the ground up and maintaining growth and optimizations of partnerships.
Management of activations, securing internal alignment with stakeholders across EF World Journeys marketing, tour development, operations, engineering, etc.
Track, analyze, and deliver reporting on ROI to internal stakeholders and brand partners as necessary.
Identify, develop, propose, negotiate, and manage partnerships with tourism industry associations, destination marketing organizations, tourism ministries, and well-known brands or talent that support mutual business goals.
Collaborate with the Communications and Industry Relations team on defined public relations projects to support an integrated communications programming, strategies, and editorial calendars aligned to business objectives and key performance indicators for EF World Journeys’ tour operator brands (primarily EF Go Ahead Tours and EF Adventures).
Partner cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Content and Social Media, Tour Development (Market Development), Creative, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to drive awareness and consideration.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining strong organization and momentum from concept through execution.
Developing and evolving brand and partnership messaging in close partnership with senior leaders, including:
Proposals, FAQs, and other collateral supportive of partnership engagement
Staying ahead of seasonal, cultural, and industry trends to create a consistent “drumbeat” of compelling stories across consumer, travel, business, and local media.
Collaborate with Data Analytics and other teams to surface insights and trends on brand partners that resonate with media or partners
When defined, this role could also support functions across public relations that could include: content development and writing, events support, supporting executive meetings, inclusive of messaging support and/or meeting preparation.
Media relations experience a plus.
Agency experience a plus.
Requirements
8–10 years of B2C communications or brand partnership experience (travel and/or lifestyle experience strongly preferred)
Background in public relations – inhouse or through an agency relationship, preferred
A passion for communications and brand partnerships with a proven track record of supporting high impact publicity efforts or campaigns.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Strong proactive outreach skills, paired with excellent organization and attention to detail.
A demonstrated ability to build partnerships from the ground up.
Experience collaborating successfully across departments.
Sound judgment in prioritizing initiatives based on impact and business value.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field (relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education).
