About this role
Role Overview
Define and execute the data science strategy aligned with the Workplace Solutions technology and business roadmap.
Drive end‑to‑end execution of analytics and machine learning use cases, from problem definition through deployment and scaling.
Prioritize use cases based on speed‑to‑value, business impact, and scalability.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CTO on data science investments, sequencing, and delivery trade‑offs.
Partner with peers across Product, Engineering, Data Platforms, Distribution, Operations, and Marketing to co‑own analytics outcomes.
Lead execution of advanced analytics and select AI‑enabled capabilities, including: – Predictive modeling and decision intelligence – Workflow automation and intelligent document processing – Targeted insights for advisors, intermediaries, and participants.
Establish clear ownership models, operating rhythms, and delivery accountability across teams.
Rapidly deliver data science capabilities that support: – Plan sponsor acquisition, retention, and expansion – Lead scoring, propensity modeling, and churn prediction – Cross‑sell and upsell across retirement, wealth, and benefits offerings.
Improve advisor and intermediary productivity through data‑driven insights, recommendations, and workflow integration.
Establish an agile, product‑oriented operating model for data science delivery.
Shorten cycle times from ideation to production through reusable components, shared platforms, and pragmatic governance.
Create a culture of experimentation with clear success metrics and fast decisions.
Implement scalable, risk‑aware governance frameworks that support rapid deployment of analytics and machine learning solutions.
Ensure explainability, fairness, privacy, and security without creating delivery bottlenecks.
Partner with Risk and Compliance to standardize fast approval paths for repeatable patterns.
Requirements
12-15 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or machine learning, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
Demonstrated success delivering analytics and ML initiatives at scale in partnership with cross‑functional leaders.
Proven ability to accelerate delivery of high‑value use cases with measurable business impact.
Experience driving growth, retention, and intermediary productivity through data‑driven solutions.
Deep experience in workplace retirement, wealth management, employee benefits, or benefits administration.
Strong track record operating in regulated environments with a bias for speed and outcomes.
Experience influencing without direct authority across complex organizations.
Experience building enterprise data science platforms and reusable capabilities.
Familiarity with modern MLOps and model governance frameworks.
