Early Career Trial Attorney

Role Overview

• Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict
• Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
• Interview clients and witnesses, maintaining communication records
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and assist in updating the legal team
• Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar (required)
• Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis
• Demonstrates strong time management skills
• Capable of organizing case files and understanding the discovery process
• Skilled in communicating with clients and maintaining records of interactions
• Well-versed in legal ethics and standards of professional conduct
