Physician Coder Specialist – Interventional Radiology

Role Overview

• Reviewing and accurately coding professional services
• Ensures receipt of accurate reimbursement according to guidelines
• Assigning ICD-10, CPT and/or HCPCS codes
• Ensuring data integrity of coded patient records
• Collaborating with team members to meet departmental goals
• Communicating with providers for clarification

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of coding experience
• Recognized Certification by the AHIMA or AAPC
• Computer skills and dexterity for data entry
• Proficient with Windows-style applications
• Knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and coding principles
