Assist with the end-to-end processing of weekly or bi-weekly payroll for a specific group of employees, including data entry, timecard verification, and calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes.
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports (Form WH-347) and other required documentation to government agencies and general contractors in a timely manner.
Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local certified payroll regulations, including prevailing wage rates, fringe benefit calculations, and proper classification of workers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, employee files, and project documentation in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and certified payroll reporting issues under the guidance of the Payroll Manager.
Provide general administrative support to the payroll department, including data entry, filing, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Associate degree or an equivalent level of experience required.
2-3 years' related experience required.
Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel.
Working knowledge of payroll system, Paylocity experience preferred
